Scheduling Around My Best

There is a sense of confidence when you know that you are doing something at the time when you are at your best.

It is easier for people to present their best during the time when they know that are at their best. As I've raised children and a business, I realized that there are times when I can fully devote my attention to them, and times when I am so overwhelmed with other tasks, that I can't turn off my brain long enough to put my best self forward.

You should put this same principle of scheduling things around your best to other aspects of your life. If you find that you are a morning person, that may be the best time to dedicate to your self care, one on one time, or reflective moments. If Fridays are more relaxing to you because you know you have the break of the weekend, then maybe that is a good time for you to schedule your therapy, wrap up your to do-list, or tackle something hard so that you can spend the weekend evaluating and decompressing the week while ending it on that fulfilling note.

Being aware of when you are at your best both mentally and physically will allow you to schedule and work around when you will be the most productive and present.

Take an inventory of your life and try to discover when you are feeling your best and when you perform your best.
